Immuta Series E Announcement

Overview

In June 2022, Immuta announced a $100 million Series E round at a $1 billion valuation. The announcement included a placement on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square, led by corporate marketing.

I adapted the flipping-box animation and three brand pillars from the Make It So campaign into a piece built for that one screen, and I storyboarded and animated it.

Rather than build a new animation under a tight announcement timeline, I went back to the Make It So campaign's existing motion language, the flipping-box transitions built around the three brand pillars, and adapted it for one very specific screen: the Nasdaq Tower.

  • Retiming: paced the loop for a jumbotron-scale display and a passing-glance audience rather than a desktop or broadcast viewer
  • Reframing: recomposed each flip sequence to hold up at the Tower's aspect ratio and resolution
  • The canvas: a tall portrait canvas of 1,832 by 2,336 pixels on a display roughly 84 feet wide and 120 feet high
  • Window cutouts: the display wraps a building with windows, so I composed the message to show correctly around them
  • Run time: about 30 seconds on screen, so the message had to land in a glance
  • Contrast: high-contrast type and color for people walking past at street level who might look up once
  • Approvals: corporate marketing owned the project, which kept review rounds short

The animation ran on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square throughout Immuta's $100 million Series E announcement, one of the most visible brand moments in the company's history, without needing a single new asset built from scratch.
